DAYTON, Ohio – Quinton Morton-Robertson had a team-high 19 points and was one of five Mastodons in double-digits in an 88-80 victory over Wright State at the Nutter Center on Thursday (Jan. 19).

The ‘Dons scored 51 points in the first half, a season best for points in a half against a Division I team. Anthony Roberts and Deonte Billups each had 12 points in the first half. They also each went 2-of-2 from three in the half to help the Mastodons sink seven 3-pointers.

Purdue Fort Wayne forced 11 turnovers in the first and converted them into 19 points. The ‘Dons finished the game forcing 17 turnovers for 23 points.

While the ‘Dons took their big lead in the first half, Morton-Robertson scored the majority of his points in the second with 13 in the final 20 minutes.

Morton-Robertson’s 19 and Roberts’ 14 points helped the ‘Dons finish with 35 bench points. Jarred Godfrey scored 17 points with nine rebounds. Billups added 14 points. Bobby Planutis totaled 13 points with three treys.

Trey Calvin has a game-high 26 points for the Raiders, but committed nine turnovers.

The contest was Godfrey’s 141st game, tying Cameron Benford for most career games played as a Mastodon.

The victory is the first ever for the ‘Dons at the Nutter Center.

The Mastodons improve to 13-7 (5-4 Horizon League). The Raiders fall to 11-9 (4-5 Horizon League). The ‘Dons continue league play on Saturday (Jan. 21) at Northern Kentucky.
