«  D Erik Karlsson, who was named to his seventh NHL All-Star Game, leads League blueliners in goals, assists, and points with 15-47-62 in 46 games and is coming off a four-point outing on January 18^th (1-3-4).

«  RW Timo Meier, who leads the Sharks in goals with 26-20-46 in 46 outings, is seventh-T in the NHL in goals (25) and sixth in shots (160) since November 1 .

«  LW Johnny Gaudreau – 9-14-23 in 30 career GP, including points in seven of his last 10 games with four multi-point efforts against the club (5-8-13).  He has recorded 8-6-14 in 14 career home games against San Jose.

BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

• Columbus closes out a four games in six days stretch on Saturday against the Sharks, most recently falling 5-3 to Anaheim on Thursday.
• CBJ also close out a stretch of four-of-six games played at home from January 12-21.  The club heads out for a four-game road trip through western Canada (Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver) and Seattle next week.
• The Blue Jackets kicked off a stretch of seven consecutive contests against the Western Conference on Tuesday.  After facing the Central Division’s Predators, the team plays six-straight against the Pacific Division from January 19-28.  CBJ are 3-1-1 against the Pacific Division in 2022-23.
• Columbus’ blueliners have registered 5-6-11 in the last 6 contests and have combined for 21-47-68 in 45 games during the 2022-23 season.
• The Blue Jackets boast a League-high 24 different players to score a goal this season.  It’s tied for the second-most different goal scorers through the first 45 games of a season in franchise history (also 2020-21) and trails only the 26 different players to score a goal in the first 45 contests of the 2011-12 campaign when the club ended with a franchise-high 30 different goal scorers.

• D Nick Blankenburg has registered 1-1-2 in his last four contests and has collected 3-2-5 in 12 outings in 2022-23.
• LW Johnny Gaudreau picked up his team-leading 30^th assist on Thursday against Anaheim and now has 3-4-7 over his last five games.  He leads the team in goals (tied), assists and points with 12-30-42 in 45 contests and was named to his first NHL All-Star Game as a Blue Jacket and seventh in his career.  He finished the 2022 calendar year with 38-81-119 in 88 games split between Calgary and Columbus to end the year second-T in the League in assists and third in points.  His 81 assists were the second most by a U.S-born player in a single season in NHL history, trailing only Craig Janney’s 82 in 1992.
• C Kent Johnson ranks sixth among NHL rookies in goals and points (tied) and 10th in points-per-game (min. 15 GP) with 8-11-19 in 41 contests (.45 Pt/GP).
• G Joonas Korpisalo has stopped 194-of-210 shots over his last seven games played to rank 10th in the NHL in save percentage (.924) since December 9 (min. 6 GP).
• LW Patrik Laine recorded the 100^th point of his CBJ career on Thursday against Anaheim with an assist on Nick Blankenburg’s goal.  He has recorded 3-4-7 in his last six contests and 10-9-19 in 22 contests since December 1 to raise his season totals to 12-11-23 in 30 contests.
