NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane Football program, fresh off winning the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship Game over UCF by a 45-28 count, learned Sunday afternoon that its opponent in the 2023 Cotton Bowl Classic will be USC.
The Green Wave (11-2 overall) moved up to 14th in the Associated Press Top 25, 16th in the College Football Playoff Committee ranking and 17th in the AFCA USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Trojans (11-2) were dropped to eighth by the AP and Coaches and 10th by the CFP following their 47-24 loss to Utah in the Pac-12 title game.
