• The Blue Jackets fell for a fifth-straight game and moved to 7-11-2 in the last 20 games following a 5-3 loss at Philadelphia on Tuesday.
• Columbus plays four more games before the new year with two of those contests against Chicago over a nine-day span.
• The club plays its final game tonight prior to the NHL’s three-day holiday break (December 24-26).  The Blue Jackets are in part of a stretch of six-of-eight contests away from Nationwide Arena from December 13-29.
• The Blue Jackets are 12-of-54 on the power play since November 5 (22.2 pct.) after scoring on just one of their first 32 power play chances through the first 11 games (3.1 pct.).
• CBJ blueliners combined for 1-1-2 on Tuesday and have collected 14-35-49 in 32 games in 2022-23.

• C Kent Johnson, who has recorded goals in each of the last two games, ranks fourth among NHL rookies in goals, sixth in points and points-per-game (min. 15 GP) with 8-8-16 in 29 contests (.55 ppg).
• LW/RW Patrik Laine has collected points in two of his last three games (1-2-3).  He ranks fifth-T in the NHL in goals in the month of December with 7-5-12 in 11 outings and is two goals from tying the franchise record for most goals in the month (Atkinson, Dec. 2016).
