BLUE JACKETS NOTE OF THE GAME

«  C Jack Roslovic notched his third career four-point game with 2-2-4 to extend his points/assists streak to three consecutive contests (2-4-6) and give him 2-6-8 in his last six outings (overall 3-11-14 in 24 appearances).  He tallied 2-1-3 in the second period, matching the franchise record for most points in a period (47th time; MR: Kuraly with 2-1-3 on 11/17/22 vs. MTL).  The forward also recorded both a power play goal and shorthanded goal in the second frame, which is the ninth time in franchise history a player has scored a PPG/SHG in the same game (MR: Huselius, 11/19/09 at DAL) and fourth time it has been accomplished in a single period (MR: Nash: second period on 1/27/09 vs. DET).

BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets won their second consecutive game and improved to 7-6-2 in their last 15 contests following tonight’s overtime victory vs. Los Angeles.  The club is also now 6-5-1 in the last 12 games at Nationwide Arena.
  • Columbus has now registered points in five of the past six games of the series against the Kings since December 13, 2018 (4-1-1).
  • The Blue Jackets have recorded points in four-straight home contests in the series (3-0-1) and six of the last seven games at Nationwide Arena (4-1-2).
  • CBJ have recorded a power play goal in six of the past nine home games in the series vs. the Kings, scoring on two-of-three opportunities tonight (7-of-22; 31.8 pct.).  It’s also the third time this season the Blue Jackets have scored two power play goals in a game (MR: Nov. 25 vs. NYI).
  • The winning team in the series has recorded four-plus goals in seven of the last nine games (including shootout goals).
  • The Blue Jackets killed off both of Los Angeles’ power play attempts tonight and have now killed off 18-of-19 Kings’ power play attempts over the last nine home games (94.7 pct.).
  • CBJ have scored 50 goals in the past 15 games (3.33), lighting the lamp at least four times in seven of those contests.
  • The club’s rookies posted 1-1-2 tonight and have now combined for 11-17-28 in 27 games.

  • Columbus scored the first goal of the game for the third time in the last four contests.
  • With RW Kirill Marchenko’s first career NHL goal tonight, the Blue Jackets have now had 22 different players score a goal this season, which is tied for the League lead with Detroit.
  • Columbus scored a season-high six goals tonight (tied; Nov. 17 vs. MTL).
  • The club’s blueliners posted 0-3-3 tonight and have now collected 2-6-8 in the last six outings and 13-32-45 in 27 games this season.
  • CBJ improved to 3-2-0 in Sunday games this season.

    Can’t be true. I’ve been investigating this matter for a few years getting data from the most expert websites such as compacom.com, nerdwallet.com, finder.com, etc and I’ve never met such an opinion. Check it out yourself.
