BLUE JACKETS TEAM NOTES

  • The Blue Jackets snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 6-6-2 in the last 14 games overall following a 3-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday.
  • The club closes out a three-game homestand tomorrow and then plays six-of-eight on the road from December 13-29.
  • The Jackets recorded a goal in every single period on Friday, marking the fifth time they’ve accomplished that this season.
  • CBJ blueliners have collected 13-29-42 in 26 games this season, ranking 10th-T in NHL in goals.
  • Columbus has had 21 different players score a goal this season, trailing only Detroit (22) for the most players on a team with a goal.

BLUE JACKETS PLAYER NOTES

  • Marcus Bjork has collected points in two of his last four games (1-1-2) and has 2-4-6 in his first 13 NHL appearances.  He ranks second-T among NHL rookie defensemen in points-per-game (.46; min. 5 GP).
  • RW Yegor Chinakhov has collected assists in back-to-back contests and has 2-5-7 in his last 12 games played.  He has already set a single-season career high in assists with 4-9-13 in 25 outings this season (7-7-14 in 62 games in 2021-22).
  • LW Johnny Gaudreau had his season-high points streak snapped at six games (2-8-10) on Friday.  He now has 4-15-19 in the last 14 contests overall and ranks eighth-T in the NHL in scoring at home this season with 8-14-22 in 18 games.
  • C Boone Jenner has collected points in five of his last six games (1-5-6) after picking up an assist against Calgary.  He has registered 8-8-16 in his last 16 contests since November 4.

  • LW/RW Patrik Laine notched a goal for the second-straight game (3-0-3) and points for the third consecutive contest (3-1-4) with a goal on Friday.  He has registered 6-3-9 in his last nine games played.
  • LW Gustav Nyquist recorded his first multi-goal game of the season with two goals on Wednesday and has collected 3-6-9 in his last 13 contests.
