COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4/5 Ohio State women’s basketball team (6-0) travels to No. 18/15 Louisville (5-2) for the 2022 ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET in a game broadcast on ACC Network.
- Ohio State remained at No. 4 in this week’s AP poll and moved up to No. 5 in the coaches’ poll.
- The Buckeyes are coming off back-to-back 105-point performances against Wright State (11/23) and North Alabama (11/27) in Columbus. All five starters scored in double figures in each of these games as the team posted a season-best 58.6 percent shooting effort from the floor and converted 52.9 percent of their three-point attempts on Nov. 27.
- Rebeka Mikulášiková was named to the Big Ten weekly honor roll on Nov. 28 for the second time this season.
- 18/15 Louisville enters the game with a 5-2 record on the season. The Cardinals earned a 100-37 win against Longwood on Friday following the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.
- In the Bahamas, Louisville earned a 71-63 win against its first ranked opponent of the season, then No. 3/5 Texas. The Cardinals dropped a 79-67 overtime decision to Gonzaga and a 65-55 game against South Dakota State in the tournament as well.
- This is the fourth meeting in the all-time series between Ohio State and Louisville, but the first taking place in Louisville.
- The Buckeyes have the most recent win of the series, winning by a 67-60 margin on Dec. 5, 2019 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
- The Cardinals took the first two meetings of the series – a narrow 67-66 win on Dec. 14, 2001 and a 95-90 overtime win on Nov. 12, 2017.
