#3 Buckeyes hammer Michigan State defense in 49-20 win at East Lansing

COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 3 Ohio State (6-0, 3-0) will head into an off week undefeated after winning its first road game of the year, 49-20, at Michigan State (2-4, 0-3) on Saturday at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.

C.J. Stroud threw for six touchdowns, connecting three times with Marvin Harrison Jr., to finish the night completing 21-of-26 throws for 361 yards. Three of Ohio State’s scoring drives were for more than 90 yards.

On the ground, TreVeyon Henderson rushed for one touchdown and 118 yards on 19 carries.

Through the air, Harrison Jr. led with seven catches while Emeka Egbuka led in total yards with 143 and a touchdown.

Ohio State totaled 614 yards in offense while the Spartans put 202 on the board. The Ohio State defense held Michigan State to 7 yards on the ground.

Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg paced the defense with eight tackles, five solos.

The Buckeyes will be off next week before returning to Ohio Stadium Oct. 22 to take on Iowa (3-2). The game is at 12 Noon on FOX.
