Training camp roster now stands at 29 players

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets trimmed their training camp roster by four players, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.  There are currently 29 players in camp – 16 forwards, nine defensemen and four goaltenders.

The Blue Jackets have assigned forwards Kirill Marchenko and Carson Meyer as well as defenseman Jake Christiansen to the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League.  The club also released forward Victor Rask from his professional tryout contract.

CURRENT TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

Columbus, which is 3-2-1 in preseason play, returns to action on Thursday when it hosts the St. Louis Blues.  Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.  The contest will be broadcast live on BlueJackets.com and the club’s app and can be heard on Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan.

The Blue Jackets open their 22nd regular season at the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday, October 12.  Game time from PNC Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
