COLUMBUS, OHIO – Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced two roster moves today that place the current training camp roster at 57 players, including 31 forwards, 19 defensemen and seven goaltenders.
The Blue Jackets returned forward Jordan Dumais to the Halifax Mooseheads and forward James Malatesta to the Quebec Remparts, both of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Columbus, which is 2-1-1 in preseason play, returns to action on Saturday when it hosts the Washington Capitals. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET. The contest will be broadcast live on BlueJackets.com and the club’s app and can be heard on 105.7 FM.
The Blue Jackets open their 22nd regular season at the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday, October 12. Game time from PNC Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
