CREW EXTENDS UNDEFEATED STREAK TO SEVEN MATCHES
With Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against D.C. United, Columbus
Crew extended its undefeated streak in regular-season
action to seven matches, dating back to a 2-1 road victory
over Atlanta United earlier this year (May 28). Since then, the
team has earned 13 points while posting a record of 3-0-4.
The Black & Gold have also registered two shutouts in this
run of matches, with the clean sheets coming against Real
Salt Lake (June 25) and against the Philadelphia Union (July
3). The Black & Gold’s last seven-match undefeated streak
occurred between October 27, 2021 and March 20, 2022,
with the Club posting a record of 5-0-2 over that span.
COLUMBUS CREW: ROAD WARRIORS
The Columbus Crew is undefeated in its last five regularseason matches on the road, dating back to a 2-1 victory
over Atlanta United (May 28). Over that span, the Black &
Gold have posted a record of 3-0-2, including wins on the
road over Atlanta, Toronto FC (June 29) and Chicago Fire FC
(July 9). The Black & Gold also earned a point on the road
against Real Salt Lake (June 25) – one of only three teams to
accomplish this feat this season. The last time the Crew had
a road streak of five matches undefeated was from August
19, 2017 to March 17, 2018. Through 11 road contests in the
2022 MLS regular season, the Crew has posted a record of
3-2-6 while registering 15 points, surpassing the total number of points obtained on the road last season (14 points) when it posted a record of 3-9-5.
CREW AMONG MLS LEADERS IN FEWEST GOALS CONCEDED
Through 19 regular-season matches played, the Crew has
conceded the third-fewest goals in MLS. The Black & Gold
has allowed just 22 goals this season. Crew goalkeeper Eloy
Room has registered five clean sheets so far this season
and has a GAA of 1.11. In the last seven matches – including five road matches – the Black & Gold have allowed just seven goals, earning 13 points. For a list of League leaders

LAST MATCH RECAP
CREW DRAWS 2-2 AGAINST D.C. UNITED ON THE ROAD
On Wednesday, Columbus Crew traveled to face D.C. United
at Audi Field. After an evenly-matched first half, the Crew
took the lead in the 62nd minute through Juan “Cucho”
Hernandez, who curled in a shot from the edge of the box.
D.C. United equalized in the 80th minute through Taxiarchis
Fountas, before Hernandez regained the lead for the Black
& Gold just a minute later. D.C. forward Ola Kamara scored
in second-half stoppage time to make it 2-2, with the Crew
taking a point on the road.
