HONOLULU – Four University of Hawai’i football games – one home and three away – will be televised nationally for the upcoming 2022 season.
UH’s season- and home-opener against Vanderbilt, Aug. 27, will air on CBS Sports Network at 4:30 p.m. HT, which is one of two games picked up by the network. Hawai’i’s road game at San Diego State, Oct. 8, at the new Snapdragon Stadium will also be televised on CBSSN with a 7:30 p.m. PT kick time.
Also part of the Mountain West’s television package is a road game at Fresno State, Nov. 5 that will air on one of the FOX Sports Networks. The kick time and outlet will be determined during the course of the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
In addition, UH’s road game at Michigan, Sept. 10, in Ann Arbor, Mich., will air on the Big Ten Network with an 8:00 p.m. ET start.
FOX will air the Mountain West Championship Game, Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m. MT/1:00 p.m. PT/11:00 a.m. HT.
This season marks the third year of the Mountain West’s six-year television contract with CBS Sports and FOX Sports. Additional broadcasts by Spectrum Sports (Hawai’i) will be announced in the coming months.
The four nationally televised games are the fewest for UH in a full season since 2009 (3 games).
