On the match_“That that game got away from us pretty quickly. We had a promising start, getting the lead. And I think up until we conceded the goal, I think we were pretty stable defensively. We didn’t have enough going forward, but we weren’t conceding a whole lot. And then we make a mistake playing out, lose the ball in a dangerous area, and then they convert, and then I think, the remainder of the half, you can see the confidence drop. You find yourself in a deficit going into halftime, which is, I think, a result of the mentality of that group, when, when we conceded to that first one. And then the second half is, there’s a lot that you can point to, to it not being good enough. So, certainly things that, we’ll have to take a look at on an individual level, and collectively as far as just the way in which we competed when things weren’t going our way. I thought in a lot of ways, guys really struggled to push themselves through some tough moments. And that’s what I think led to such a poor second half, and certainly a poor scoreline.”

On the rotation, and the rest“No question. Yeah putting the score line. And the result aside, this was an opportunity for a lot of players. It’s always going to be tough, when you have so many changes to expect to see the same quality and consistency that maybe we had seen in the stretch leading up to the game. But it’s a chance for players to get more minutes and to improve their standing within the group. And so, I don’t think that happened on a lot of levels tonight, but the game tells you a lot. And so we found out a little bit more today about some some individual players, and just how far we still have to go to get more consistent contributions, and to be a reliable option when we’re looking at selecting, you know our starting group. But it was certainly a chance for some guys to recover. What I did appreciate was when things were kind of out of hand at the end, there’s still players that want to get that game. Lucho wants to come into the game. And those are positives. That silver lining of a overall pretty poor evening. There’s still a desire for guys to be out there and want to help their team when things aren’t going well.”

On if this group has the mentality to not let a loss bleed over into the next game“Yes, because it’s already happened. We’ve already had a result like this in our opener, and I thought the response against D.C. at home was a strong one. The result wasn’t the result we were looking for, but I liked the response, early on in the season, when we were, in a lot of ways, still figuring out who we were. We have a few more answers, a better idea of where we’re at and who we are. But I expect that we will use this as a learning tool, but also as motivation to right the wrong really quickly, because we had the opportunity to do that in a couple of days, which I think can be a good thing.”
