Columbus Crew hosted Nashville SC before a sold-out crowd at
Lower.com Field on Saturday, April 2. Nashville SC took the lead
in the 28th minute of the contest, through Alex Muyl who was
assisted by Taylor Washington. Despite the setback, the Black &
Gold continued to push for the goal, outscoring the visitors 19-6
while maintaining 67% of possession. In the end, Nashville SC
won the contest 1-0.

The Columbus Crew look for their first road win of the 2022 MLS
Season as they take on the top-ranked Philadelphia Union. The
match will be the 31st all-time regular season meeting between
the two teams dating back to 2010.
LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEETING
Columbus Crew traveled to Subary Park to face the Philadelphia
Union on October 3, 2021, when Philadelphia Union hosted the
Columbus Crew at Subaru Park. Philadelphia found the back of the
net early when Jack Elliott scored in the 25th minute. Alejandro
Bedoya scored a second for the Union in the 46th minute followed
by Leon Flach’s 89th minute goal. The Philadelphia Union went on
to win 3-0.

CREW’S FIRST APRIL SELL-OUT SINCE INAGURAL SEASON
The Columbus Crew’s match on April 2 vs. Nashville
SC marked the first April sell-out for a regular-season
Crew home match since the inaugural season (1996)
of the Club — 26 years ago when the team played at
Ohio Stadium (1996-1998) — before the team played at
Historic Crew Stadium (1999-2021) and Lower.com Field
(2021-Present). Excluding the Historic Crew Stadium
inaugural match played in May 1999, the Crew’s earliestin-season sellout at its soccer-specific home venue was
previously June 13, 2015 which fell on regular-season
home match number eight of that year.
