COLUMBUS CREW EARNS DRAW IN FIRST ROAD MATCH OF 2022 MLS SEASONThe Columbus Crew came home with a point from the trip to San Jose with a 3-3 draw against the Earthquakes. The Crew fell behind 1-0 early but rallied back to score three straight goals following the red card on Jamiro Monteiro. The first and third goals for the Crew were scored by Lucas Zelarayan, extending his hot streak to 7 goals and 3 assists in the last 5 matches. Zelarayan’s brace earned him a spot on the MLS team of the week. Gyasi Zardes continued the scoring in the 68th minute by finishing the cross from Derrick Etienne Jr. The Earthquake snagged two late goals to level the scoring at 3-3.
