Episode will air ahead of Blue Jackets’ ceremony to retire Nash’s jersey
COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets and Bally Sports Ohio announced today that a new episode of Blue Jackets Conversations featuring Jackets great Rick Nash will debut on Saturday, March 5 at 5:00 p.m. The episode will air on the network and the Bally Sports App ahead of Nash’s jersey retirement ceremony prior to the Blue Jackets game against the Boston Bruins. The network will re-air the episode following the game at midnight, as well as on Sunday, March 6 at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 13 at 6 p.m.
Former Blue Jacket and current Bally Sports Ohio Color Analyst Jody Shelley sat down with his former teammate and Brampton, Ontario native to discuss his career and the emotions attached to his being the first player in franchise history to have his number lifted to the rafters of Nationwide Arena.
Nash is Columbus’s all-time leader in games played, goals, assists and points as he registered 289 goals and 258 assists for 547 points with 568 penalty minutes in 674 games from 2002-12. The club’s captain from 2008-12, he represented the Blue Jackets at five All-Star Games and won a Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy and the NHL Foundation Player Award during his nine seasons with the club.
Bally Sports Ohio and the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station 97.1 The Fan, will provide live coverage of the opening ceremony festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m. The complete ceremony will re-air on Bally Sports following the game and on Sunday, March 6 at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The Blue Jackets return to action Friday night when they host the Los Angeles Kings. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7:00 p.m. ET.
