COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and National Hockey League announced today that the regular season schedule will not resume prior to Tuesday, December 28. The League had planned to resume its schedule on December 27, but in order to allow the League an adequate opportunity to analyze League-wide testing results and to assess Clubs’ readiness to play, the target date for resumption of game play will be pushed back an additional day. Teams will return to practice on December 26 and it is expected that the League will provide an update on its return to play plans by the end of day on Sunday.
With today’s announcement, the game between the Blue Jackets and Toronto Maple Leafs scheduled for Monday, December 27 has been postponed. A makeup date for the game has not yet been determined. Complete ticketing information for postponed games will be announced as it becomes available.
The Blue Jackets are now slated to return to action on Tuesday, December 28 when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time from United Center is 8:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on Bally Sports Ohio with coverage beginning with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show at 8 p.m. ET. The game can also be heard on the Columbus Blue Jackets Radio Network, including 105.7 FM.
