COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated Trey Fix-Wolansky off the Injured/Non-Roster list and assigned the forward to the Cleveland Monsters, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Fix-Wolansky, 22, suffered a right knee injury on March 20 vs. Grand Rapids and had surgery on March 27 to repair his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He had posted four goals and five assists for nine points with two penalty minutes in nine contests in the 2020-21 season prior to the injury.
The Edmonton, Alberta native has registered 16-19-35 with 34 penalty minutes in 52 career AHL games with the Monsters since making his professional debut in 2019-20. He led team rookies in goals, assists and points with 12-14-26 and 32 penalty minutes in 2019-20. The 5-7, 186-pound forward was selected by the Blue Jackets in the seventh round, 204th overall, at the 2017 NHL Draft.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Thursday when they visit the Arizona Coyotes. Game time from Gila River Arena is 9 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on Bally Sports Ohio and streamed on the Bally Sports app. The game may also be heard on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship Columbus Alternative 107.5 FM in Columbus.
