CBJ TEAM NOTES
- The Blue Jackets fell to 3-2-0 with tonight’s loss. It’s the club’s first loss at home after going 3-0-0 in their first three contests at Nationwide Arena. The team had a chance to win its first four home games to begin a season for the first time in franchise history entering the game.
- CBJ have posted points in eight of the last 13 home games of the series against the Hurricanes (7-5-1).
- The Blue Jackets have scored a power play goal in all four games they have been awarded an opportunity (did not have an attempt on Oct. 16 vs. Seattle), scoring on 1-of-4 attempts tonight. CBJ are 5-of-15 on the power play on the campaign (33.3 pct.).
- Carolina finished 3-of-6 on the power play tonight. It was the first time that the Blue Jackets allowed three or more power play tallies to an opponent since Dec. 4, 2018 vs. Calgary (3-of-4).
- The Blue Jackets lost their first game against a divisional opponent tonight (1-1-0 on season). The club will play two of its next three and four of the next seven games against Metropolitan Division opponents.

· C Boone Jenner scored his fourth goal of the season and has power play goals in three-straight contests. He leads the team in goals with 4-0-4. The three power play tallies are already the third most in a single season in his career, trailing nine (2015-16) and four (2013-14).
· LW Patrik Laine tallied an assist and has collected points in all five outings in 2021-22 (2-4-6). It’s the second time in his career that he has started a season with a five-game point-streak (3-7-10; Oct. 3-10, 2019 with Winnipeg).
· RW Jakub Voracek recorded his fifth assist of the season and 100th of his CBJ career (39-100-139, 246 GP). He has collected points in three-straight games (0-5-5).
· RW Oliver Bjorkstrand led the team in shots with five, while D Andrew Peeke led the club in blocked shots with three.
