STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team appeared inside the top-10 in both sets of major polls for the first time this season landing at No. 8 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll released Sunday.
The Cowboys have reached the top 10 of the Associated Press poll in 10 of the last 14 seasons dating back to 2008. The No. 8 ranking is the highest Oklahoma State has been ranked since it was ranked sixth on Oct. 31, 2020.
Oklahoma State’s win against No. 25 Texas on Saturday marked the first time in program history that OSU has beaten three ranked teams consecutively. It also moved the Cowboys to 6-0 on the season for the first time since 2015.
The Pokes are one of three teams representing the Big 12 Conference in the polls, along with No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 20 Baylor. Iowa State and Texas are receiving votes in both the AP poll and the coaches poll.
