Domi is expected to miss two to four weeks with a rib fracture

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Max Domi on Injured Reserve, General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.  He is expected to miss two to four weeks due to a rib fracture suffered in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Seattle.

Domi, 26, tallied a goal and two assists with a +4 plus/minus rating in his first two games of the season, collecting 1-1-2 in the season-opener vs. Arizona on October 14 and picking up an assist on Patrik Laine’s overtime game-winning goal two nights later vs. the Kraken.  The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has registered 91-188-279 and 375 penalty minutes in 431 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens and Arizona Coyotes since making his debut in 2015-16.  He has 10-18-28 and 75 penalty minutes in 56 games with Columbus.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they visit the Detroit Red Wings.  Game time from Little Caesars Arena is 7:30 p.m. ET.  The game will be broadcast live on Bally Sports Ohio and streamed on the Bally Sports app.  The game may also be heard on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station Sports Radio 97.1 FM in Columbus.
