COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew on Monday announced that midfielder Artur underwent successful sports hernia repair surgery to address ongoing issues related to a previously diagnosed sports hernia. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Cattey on Wednesday at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon, Wisconsin. Artur is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10 to 12 weeks.

Since joining the Black & Gold, the midfielder has made 114 regular-season appearances (104 starts) while scoring two goals and providing nine assists. Both of Artur’s goals came during the Crew’s 2020 MLS Cup-winning season.
