FLUSHING, N.Y., July 10, 2021 – The New York Mets today announced the team has promoted minor league infielder Brett Baty to Binghamton (AA). Baty will report to Binghamton following the Futures Game, which he is scheduled to play in tomorrow.
Baty, 21, hit .309 (56-181) with 14 doubles, seven homers, 27 runs scored and 34 RBI in 51 games with Brooklyn (High-A) this season. The Mets first round pick (12th overall) in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, had a .397 OBP, .514 slugging percentage and a .911 OPS.
