NEW YORK (June 6, 2021) –Boston Bruins forward David Krejci been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal during Game 4 of the teams’ Second Round series in New York on Saturday, June 5, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 11:13 of the second period. Krejci was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
