CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox placed right-handed pitcher Dylan Cease on the injured list and recalled right-hander Zack Burdi from the Schaumburg training facility.

Cease, 25, is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA (4 ER/9.1 IP) and nine strikeouts over two starts this season, his third with the White Sox.

Burdi, 26, made eight relief appearances with the Sox in 2020 in his major-league debut. He is a native of Downers Grove, Ill.
