Cody Stashak optioned to alternate training site

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson from the alternate training site. Anderson, who was acquired via trade with San Francisco in February, appeared in 18 games for the Giants in 2020, posting a 3.52 ERA (15.1 IP, 6 ER) with 12 walks, 18 strikeouts and a .182 opponent batting average. The 26-year-old made his major league debut in 2019 and has appeared in 46 major league games in his career (16 starts), going 3-5 with a 5.17 ERA (111.1 IP, 64 ER), 50 walks and 88 strikeouts in parts of two seasons with San Francisco.

To make room for Anderson on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Cody Stashak to the alternate training site in St. Paul. Stashak appeared in six games for the Twins, posting a 7.20 ERA (5.0 IP, 4 ER) with two walks and 12 strikeouts (21.60 K/9.0 IP).
