CHICAGO – Prior to today’s series finale vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox reinstated shortstop Tim Anderson from the 10-day injured list and designated outfielder Nick Williams for assignment.
Anderson, 27, was placed on the injured list on April 7 (retroactive to April 5) with a strained left hamstring suffered running to first base on April 4 at Los Angeles-AL. He is hitting .200 (3-15) with one home run, one RBI and three runs scored in four games this season.
Anderson won his first American League Silver Slugger Award in 2020 after winning the AL batting title in 2019 with a .335 average.
Williams, went 0-10 with two walks in four games with the Sox after his contract was purchased from the Schaumburg training facility on April 8.
