CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men’s basketball game against Milwaukee on Friday, Jan. 22 has been selected to be televised on ESPN2, ESPN and the Horizon League announced Wednesday afternoon. The contest will also be aired live on 1420-WHK, 102.5 FM and whkradio.com. Tipoff for that contest is at 9 p.m.
The Vikings’ Jan. 22 contest will also be the team’s #Fight4Literacy game. The Cleveland State men’s basketball coaching staff will wear green ties, wristbands and lapel pins in an effort to promote childhood reading and raise funds for local literacy work. Cleveland State will appear on ESPNU this Friday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. against Wright State. Friday’s appearance on ESPNU will be their first regular season game on an ESPN linear network since the 2014-15 season. Cleveland State appeared on an ESPN linear network three times that season: Feb. 13 at Detroit Mercy (ESPNU), Feb. 20 at Green Bay (ESPN2) and Feb. 27 vs. Valparaiso (ESPNU).
Currently sitting atop the Horizon League standings with a perfect 8-0 league record, Cleveland State is off to its best start in Horizon League play in program history. The Vikings, riding an eight-game winning streak, are in the middle of their longest winning streak since the 2010-11 season (12 straight wins).
Building off of the team’s success, Cleveland State Athletics launched Early Bird Pricing, a savings of approximately 20%, for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season. Fans can either purchase their full season tickets or put down a $50.00 deposit to lock themselves into the Early Bird Pricing. This limited-time offer will end at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season. In addition, for every ticket deposit or purchase, fans will receive a complimentary CSU basketball hat prior to the 2021-22 season.
Both of the Vikings’ contests against Wright State this upcoming weekend will be aired on AM-1420, 102.5 FM and www.whkradio.com. Additionally, Saturday’s game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
