COLUMBUS CITY LEAGUE FOOTBALL: Whetstone demolishes Africentric, 84-26

GAME REPORT FROM STEPHANIE ROSS

The Africentric Nubians are known for their exploits on the basketball court during the winter months.

But the football team, even with some of the basketball players a part of it, is not as good.

The Nubians were 2-8 last year and they’re 0-2 so far in 2012 after suffering an embarrassing 84-26 home loss on Friday.

Whetstone was the team that handled Africentric.

Africentric’s Trevon Saunders, who is listed by head coach Eugene Barrett as an Athlete, caught six balls for 185 yards and three touchdowns.
