Stoneburner, Mewhort and a third man, not connected with the football program, Austin Barnard, were charged by Shawnee Hills police for obstructing official business. The three men were allegedly caught urinating between buildings near the Bogey Inn around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

All three men alledgedly ran when they were confronted by a police officer, but Stoneburner and Mewhort stopped moments later.

OSU SPRING GAME: Miller & Scarlet team beats Gray, 20-14

COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Urban Meyer era was ushered in on a chilly, overcast day at venerable Ohio Stadium as 81,112 faithful fans braved the elements and were entertained with a 20-14 win by the Scarlet over the Gray.

Braxton Miller passed the ball well in the new spread offense

Running back Rod Smith ran 7 yards for the game-winning touchdown with 5:29 to go for the Scarlet team.

Defensive back Christian Bryant sealed the game by picking off Gray quarterback Kenny Guiton with 2:52 to play to thwart a comeback attempt.

Eventhough Braxton Miller said in the postgame that fans and media only witnessed “30 percent of the offense”, the Scarlet rolled up 305 total yards and the Gray 227. 532 yards is not pretty good for only 30 percent. It makes you wonder how good the offense could be with “100 percent” of it in place?

Miller led the Scarlet stats going 24 of 31 with one interception and 258 yards.

Michael Thomas emerged as a wide receiver threat catching 12 balls for 131 yards for the Scarlet. Teammate Chris Fields caught 5 passes for 72 yards.

Kenny Guiton proved that he is capable of backing up Miller

Backup QB Kenny Guiton had a nice game throwing the ball as well for the Gray team. He was 16 of 24 with 185 yards, interception and a touchdown.

His wide receivers were equally as good. Philly Brown caught seven passes for 90 yards and Devin Smith caught a 28-yard TD pass.

The defenses sacked the QB seven times on the quick-whistle to avoid injuries.

Leading tacklers in the game include Adam Griffin with 9 and Orhian Johnson with 7 to lead the Gray. Ryan Shazier with 7 led the Scarlet.

OSU SPRING FOOTBALL: MLB Klein expected to return Monday

Storm Klein (courtesy of OSU athletics)

Eventhough the Ohio State football team has only had three practices this spring under new coach Urban Meyer, there have been some players missing from the drills and one of those is middle linebacker Storm Klein.

Defensive Coordinator and linebackers coach Luke Fickell told members of the media on Saturday that Klein has been limited in practice due to a sprained knee suffered during winter conditioning.

The team’s fourth practice is Monday, April 2 and Klein is expected back to a normal practice routine.

Klein was a starter in 2011 but faces competition from sophomore Curtis Grant.

Fickell said that the best three will start on the field at linebacker. practice coverage

The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones and offensive tackle Anthony Collins.

The 6’5, 26-pound Harvey played three seasons in Jacksonville before signing with the Broncos. He played for Urban Meyer at Florida.

Jones has played five years in the NFL, and will be entering his third season with Cincinnati. He was injured with a neck injury in 2011, but still played in eight games, the last seven as a starter.

Collins has played all four seasons in the league with the Bengals.
