Samuel, a 5’11, 186-pound speedster is the 17th member of Ohio State’s 2014 recruiting class.

Samuel rushed for 1,047 yards in 2012, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. He also caught 12 passes fro 187 yards.

Samuel, who has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.36 seconds, is ranked 116th nationally by Rivals.com.

Samuel broke the Eramus Hall school record in the 60-yard dash at 6.42 seconds despite not having any previous experience in track.

Published reports say that Coach Meyer wants to play Samuel at the slot position which made Percy Harvin famous during his days at the University of Florida.

He has undergone drug rehabilitation in March and April with follow-up outpatient meetings.

Hill was also suspended for four games last season for using a performance-enhancing drug that he and the team said was Adderall. The league didn’t impose the penalty then because Hill tried to appeal it.
