The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to the Sunshine State of Florida for the second time this season.

One of the largest race tracks on the NASCAR circuit, Daytona International seats 147,000 fans, features a 2.5-mile track.

The 400-mile race will encompass 160 laps.

Daytona features restrictor-plate racing.

NASCAR RACE PREVIEW #17: Quaker State 400 at KY Speedway tonight, 7:30 P.M. on TNT

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series moves to the Bluegrass State  for the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Sparta is 30 miles from Cincinnati and 60 miles from Louisville on Interstate 71.

The Quaker State 400 will start at 7:30 p.m. and be televised by TNT.

The expected crowd of 104,000 will see the 400-mile race encompass 267 laps on the 1.5-mile oval.

The asphalt track features a 70-foot wide racing surface with a 12-foot apron banking in the 4 turns. Turn 4 is used by the drivers to gain momentum or hold race position.

The 2011 race was bittersweet for Speedway Motorsports Inc. The track finally was able to land a Cup race but not everyone was able to see it. The traffic and parking debacle saw miles-on-mile long backups on all roads leading to the track (I-71, Highway 35, US Route 42) and patrons had to be turned away by the thousands.

The track purchased land surrounding their land and converted it into parking lots/fields and the state of Kentucky widened Highway 35 and built a pedestrian tunnel.

While most fans had to listen to the race on the radio due to being turned away, the race went on and was very exciting. Kyle Busch was the pole-sitter and led 125 of the 267 laps and held off David Reutimann for his third win of the season. Busch’s win at the time, allowed him to take over the points lead in the Cup Series.

Chicagoland Speedway combines with banking and good grip to produce high speeds on a D-shaped asphalt 1.5-mile tri-oval. The distance is 400.5 miles which is broken down into 267 laps.

The 75,000 seat racetrack has a new Skyline Terrace, a corporate hospitality option with oversized spots.

Recapping the 2009 400, Mark Martin dominated 195 of the 267 laps and pulled away from Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin on a late-race restart. Jimmie Johnson (58) was the only other driver to lead more than 10 laps and finished eighth behind pole-sitter Brian Vickers.

Kevin Harvick (2000, 2001) and Tony Stewart (2004, 2007) are two-time winners at Chicagoland.

Jeff Gordon will make his 600th Cup start at Chicagoland Speedeway.

Kevin Harvick has a 210-point lead over Jeff Gordon with eight races left before the Cup Chase.

Fifth-place Denny Hamlin leads the series with 5 wins.
