The Eagles were inspired by their leader who played in pain and led the team on two touchdown scoring drives in the second half as Bishop Watterson came from behind to defeat Tiffin Columbian 18-7 in front of 6,000 fans in Selby Field on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Rhomberg completed 13 of 23 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown.

The Tornadoes of Tiffin Columbian end the season at 11-2.

The 11-1 Eagles are now in the state semifinals.

The Bishop Watterson Eagles knew they had their hands full when it was announced that they would be playing Elida in Piqua last Saturday night.

The Eagles defense was not shaken. Oh, McAdams did have a solid game, throwing for 358 yards on 20 of 23 passing and had 3 receivers, Austin Etzler, Rikki Le and Kevin Kraft go over the 100-yard mark in receiving yardage but the key to the 21-7 win was the fact they intercepted five passes.

The Division III game was played in Alexander Stadium in Piqua, Ohio.

The number-1 seeded Eagles are now 10-1.

Watterson will play in the regional final this weekend against 11-1 Tiffin Columbian.
