The 50-year-old from Spain held off a persistent Bernhard Langer to win the Greater Gwinnett Championship.

Jimenez, who has 31 pro wins, closed the final round with a 67 to finish at 14-under 202, two strokes ahead of Langer.

Jimenez, who mostly plays on the European Tour, finished the tournament with 32 straight holes without a bogey at the TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.

Langer, who was consistent during the tournament, shot a 68 for the third straight day.

Azahara Munoz of Spain held off 23-year-old Morgan Pressel in the semifinals of the Sybase Match Play Championship after a slow-play penalty against the American on the 12th hole help turn the match.

Pressel had won the 12th hole at Gladstone, New Jersey’s Hamilton Farm Golf Club, to go 3 up  with just six holes to play.

When the group reached the 13th tee, match timer Doug Brecht told Pressel that she had violated the tour’s pace of play by taking 2 minutes, 9 seconds to shoot her three shots at the par-3 hole. The violation was 39 seconds over the allotted 90 seconds allowed. The penalty in match play is the loss of a hole.

The timer had warned Munoz and Pressel earlier about slow play after the ninth hole.

The 24-year-old Munoz, who is just 5-foot-5 inches tall, is an Arizona State graduate who has 2 pro wins and has been on the LPGA Tour since 2009.

Munoz will play veteran golfer Candie Kung for the title.
