Steelers’ Woodley, several pro celebrities getting involved in PBA

Lamarr Woodley is a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers but he getting involved into the PBA in the Detroit area.

The 28-year-old graduate of the University of Michigan has joined several new owners by getting involved in the eight-team PBA Professional Bowling League that’ll start in January 2013 in the Detroit suburbs.

Woodley, who grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, bowled as a kid, will be the celebrity owner of the Pittsburgh Jack Rabbits.

Jerome Bettis, former running back of the Steelers, former NFL receiver Terrell Owens and LA Clippers point guard Chris Paul will also be involved in the new venue. The PBA has some of its top pros competing on five-man teams in a team format.

ENTERTAINMENT: Longtime actress of Law and Order will be turning in her badge

S. Epatha Merkerson is leaving Law and Order, according to reports out of Hollywood.  Merkerson, who has appeared on the NBC series longer than any other cast member, since 1993 or 375 episodes as Lieutenant Anita Van Buren, has asked to be released after this season.

Sharon Epatha Merkerson was born on November 28, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan, she is 57. She is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit.

There has been no decision on next season for Law and Order, which if it happens, would be a record-setting 21st season, is still being discussed by NBC as it is in negotiations with TNT to continue showing reruns of the drama in syndication.
