The University of Dayton Flyers announced last Friday that Jesse Berry, a guard from West Lafayette, Indiana has been granted a release from the national letter of intent he signed in November.

Berry is high-scoring guard averaging 23.2 points a game for Lafayette Jefferson High School this past season.

Berry has been arrested twice during the 2009-2010 school year, a theft charge and recently assault with bodily harm.

The Flyers will now have a recruiting class of four players in 2010 which will include Ralph Hill and Juwan Staten, Devin Oliver and Brandon Spearman which is still a solid class even without the balleyhooed Berry.
