The Ohio State men’s golf team has earned a bid to the NCAA Men’s Golf Regional. The 32nd-ranked and fifth-seeded Buckeyes will be traveling to San Diego, California, to compete in the 54-hole San Diego Regional May 19-21.

Six regional tournaments will be conducted as 13 teams and ten individuals will compete in three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals. The low five teams and the low individual from each regional will advance to the finals. The NCAA Championships will take place May 31-June 5 at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with Oklahoma State hosting the tournament.

The selection is Ohio State’s first under second-year head coach Donnie Darr. It is the team’s 44th appearance overall, dating back to 1945. The Buckeyes’ last bid to the tourney was in 2009 as they finished tied for third at the Central Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships.

Ohio State is one of 13 teams competing at the Farms Golf Club hosted by the University of San Diego. Ohio State is the lone Big Ten school in the regional. The others include: 1. UCLA, 2. Texas, 3. USC, 4. San Diego, 5. Ohio State, 6. UNLV, 7. North Texas, 8. Middle Tennessee, 9. Tulsa, 10. SMU, 11. Pacific, 12. San Francisco, 13. Cleveland State.
