Xavier women dominate Fordham in A-10 play

Number 7 Xavier dominated the Fordham Lady Rams, 77-55 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

Amber Harris with 18 points and Tyeasha Moss scored 13 to led the way.

The Musketeers never trailed in the game and their record goes to 21-2, 10-0.

Fordham drops to 10-16, 2-8.

Xavier has won 25 straight conference games in a row.

Xavier gets big win over Georgia

The Xavier men’s basketball team at this point of the season over the years, have over 20 wins and are set for a certain NCAA Tournament bid.

But this year at 17-6 overall, they are below the bubble in a season that has seen them lose key players to injuries. But they are still dominating the A-10 Conference at 8-1.

But the Musketeers stepped out of conference play to take on Georgia and won, 65-57. A game that will help in their quest to get into this year’s NCAA tourney.

Tu Holloway led the way with 18 points, all in the second half.

Georgia, from the SEC, drops to 16-7.

#7 Xavier beats Rhode Island

The Xavier women’s basketball team won an Atlantic 10 Conference contest against hapless Rhode Island, 67-45.

Ta’Shia Phillips scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and Amber Harris scored 10 of her 16 points in the second half to lead the Musketeers who are 17-2, 6-0.

Rhode Island falls to 6-14, 0-6.

Xavier beats Richmond in A-10 basketball action

In a battle of the top two teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference, Xavier and Richmond, the Musketeers won 85-62.

Tu Holloway scored a career-high 33 points and made all 17 of his free throws in leading “X” to its seventh straight win.

Xavier is 15-5, 7-0.

Richmond drops to 16-6, 5-2.

Xavier men and women win A-10 contests

The Xavier Musketeers dominated Massachusetts 79-50 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Tu Holloway scored 19 points to lead a balanced offense to extend its A-10 homecourt winning streak to 33 games, one short of Temple’s conference record set from 1987 to 1991.

#8 Xavier led by Ta’Shia Phillips with 20 points and 17 rebounds, Columbus Africentric High School graduate Tyeasha Moss finished with 17 points en route to a win over St. Joseph’s, 75-54.

The Musketeers overcame a 34-30 halftime deficit in A-10 action.

Xavier goes to 1-2 overall, 2-0 in the conference.

St. Joseph’s falls to 11-5, 1-1.
