Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback always said that he would go back and finish his degree at Miami University.

He kept his promise, as he recently graduated after leaving the Oxford, Ohio school early almost nine years ago to enter the NFL Draft.

He was only four courses shy of graduation when he left for the NFL and finished them this spring.

The 30-year-old from Findlay, Ohio, received a bachelor’s degree in education and joined almost 600 students during commencement.

Roethlisberger had his #7 jersey retired by the Miami RedHawks in 2007.
