The Miami Heat have not had the dominating season that they experienced the past four years with LeBron James on the team. They went to the NBA Finals all of those seasons, winning two titles.

Currently, they do hold the Number 7 spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a not-so-hot record of 23-30.

Besides Dwayne Wade, their best player has been Chris Bosh. The 6’11, 235-pound center from Dallas, Texas, has had a solid season of 21.1 points and 7 rebounds in the first year of his five-year deal he signed last summer worth $118 million dollars.

Right now, the 30-year-old Bosh is thinking about his life instead of statistics, money and NBA titles.

The Heat announced on Saturday that his season is over due to blood clots found in one of his lungs. The problem, could’ve killed him if it had not been detected when it was. Bosh had been complaining about pain in his back and sides for several days.

There is no timetable for the All-Star forward’s return looking to next season.

LeBron James is capable of scoring 50-60 points any given night.

On Monday night, the Charlotte Bobcats were the victims as “King James” scored a career-high 61 points in a 124-107 win by the Miami Heat.

James’61 points is a Heat franchise record.

His career-best was a 56-point effort with Cleveland on March 20,2005.

The former Cavs’ star scored 24 points by halftime, 25 in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth quarter before leaving to a standing ovation with 1:24 left in the game.

James was on fire last night, connecting on his first eight three-point field goal attempts and shooting 22 of 33 overall from the floor.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without the services of center Kendrick Perkins for six weeks due to surgery on his left groin.

The 29-year-old Perkins was injured during the February 20 game against the Miami Heat. He did not play on Sunday against the LA Clippers.

The 6’10, 270-pound Perkins was drafted out of Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas in the spring of 2003 by the Memphis Grizzlies.

He led Ozen High to four consecutive district championships and one state championship during his high school career. Averaging 27.5 points, 16.4 rebounds and 7.8 blocked shots a game as a Senior, he led Ozen to a 33–1 record, with the only loss being a 66–54 setback to Fort Worth Dunbar in the state 4A championship game.

It’s a rarity when LeBron James misses an NBA game. He is one of those players that has to be completely injured to beg out of the lineup.

Last Sunday, James missed the Miami Heat’s win over Chicago with a broken nose which was understandable.

The NBA superstar has been practicing this week in non-contact drills and is listed as probable to play on Thursday night against the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony.

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has a broken nose and thus his availability for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls is up in the air.

The Heat’s coaching staff says his availability will be made around game-time.

James’ nose was broken in Thursday night’s game at Oklahoma City when Serge Ibaka accidentally struck him on the way to the basket.

James missed the final 5:50 of the game.
