Everytime Ohio Athletic Conference rivals Otterbein and Ohio Northern play each other, it is a high-scoring affair to the end.

Last weekend at Ada, Ohio, located in the Lima area, Ohio Northern won in overtime, 34-33.

Quarterback Austin Schlosser led the Cardinals attack with 266 total yards, but he missed a two-point conversion in overtime  which cost Otterbein in the OAC opener for both teams.

Tyler Rue put the Polar Bears ahead in overtime with an 8-yard touchdown run.

After Brock Burzanko’s 7-yard TD reception, the Cardinals opted to go for the win, but Schlosser’s pass to Trey Fairchild on the two-point try was incomplete.

Ohio Northern is 2-0, 1-0 in the OAC; Otterbein is 1-1, 0-1 in the OAC.

The Cardinals return to Westerville next Saturday at 2 p.m. as they host the Heidelberg Student Princes at Memorial Stadium.
