Cavs getting worse and worse; loses to Toronto

The Cleveland Cavaliers the five seasons prior to this nightmare year, used to be one of the best defensive teams in the league under former coach Mike Brown. But now, they’re one of the worst.

The Cavs are a complete mess and yes, LeBron James is one of the reasons. They lost to Toronto 120-105.

Defensively, the Cavs gave up 62 points in the lane and allowed the worst three-point shooting team in the NBA to shoot 50 percent from the three-point area and 56.8 percent overall.

Cleveland has lost eight straight and 18th in the last 19 games to drop to 8-27.

The Raptors were led by Andrea Bargnani with 25 points and eight rebounds, Leandro Barbosa with 22 points for the second time this season and Jose Calderon added 20 points with a season-high 17 assists.

The Cavs, playing without J.J. Hickson, because he missed a mandatory practice earlier in the week and Anthony Parker with a bad back, were led by Antawn Jamison with 32 points who made 5 of 7 three-point goals.

The Cavaliers will not be home again until January 19. Cleveland is just 3-16 on the road and has lost 15 in a row.
