Beasley signs to play in Mexico

Mexican soccer team Puebla of Mexico City, has signed American forward DaMarcus Beasley to a contract.

The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native, who plays on the left wing, earlier in his career played for the Chicago Fire.

The 29-year-old recently completed his overseas season with German team Hannover 96, where he seldom got into a match.

Goerges upsets Wozniacki in Germany

22-year-old German tennis star, Julia Goerges, ranked 27th in the world, upset #1 Carolina Woznzicki 7-6 (3), 6-3 in the final of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany.

Goerges, who is 5’11. has a career record of 206-122, with 2 WTA titles and 6 ITF championships to her credit.
