Jamestown Greeneview High School basketball player Evan Bradds decided to make his college choice now and get it out of the way.

At the end of verbally committed to the Ohio University Bobcats basketball program saying “that it was the right fit for him.”

Bradds, a 6-foot-6, 185-pound post player, averaged 17.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and shot 52 percent from the field as a sophomore last season.

He helped lead the Rams to their second straight appearance in the Division III district championship game, and was named Division III District 9 Player of the Year.

Bradds also considered offers from Miami (Ohio), Akron, Toledo, Wright State, James Madison and Albany.

If the name Bradds sounds familiar, it should. His dad, David, played at the University of Dayton, and his grandfather, Gary, a former legend at Ohio State, was an NBA first-round draft pick.

Bradds, who’ll graduate from high school in 2013, has the ability to be a big-time scorer shooter, he’s tough in the lane and can drive the basketball according to scouting reports.

Special thanks goes out to the Bradds’ family and Greeneview athletic director Mark Rinehart for giving permission to use Evan’s photo
