The 50-year-old from Spain held off a persistent Bernhard Langer to win the Greater Gwinnett Championship.

Jimenez, who has 31 pro wins, closed the final round with a 67 to finish at 14-under 202, two strokes ahead of Langer.

Jimenez, who mostly plays on the European Tour, finished the tournament with 32 straight holes without a bogey at the TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, just outside Atlanta.

Langer, who was consistent during the tournament, shot a 68 for the third straight day.

It took 20 years for Phil Mickelson to win an event in Europe.

The 43-year-old California native birdied the first playoff hole to fend off Branden Grace and win the Scottish Open in Inverness on the European Tour.

Mickelson could’ve won the match in regulation, but three-putted the 72nd hole.

In the playoff, “Lefty” took control immediately, hitting a shot from 45 yards that landed within a foot of the 18th pin, leaving Grace with a 25-footer to match him. Grace’s putt rolled past the hole.
