There had been rumors for months that Philadelphia, Pennsylvania would be hosting the 2012 Major League Soccer game.

That rumor is now a reality, as the MLS has awarded the Philadelphia Union the game this year.

The Union will play host to a yet to be determined team on July 25 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa., a Philadelphia suburb.

MLS commissioner Don Garber says that the opponent will be selected in the next two months.

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber announced on Wednesday that he has suspended and fined Columbus Crew player Josh Williams for violating the MLS Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Policy by testing positive for methandienone metabolites, a prohibited performance enhancing substance.

Williams is suspended for 10 MLS games, effective immediately, and has been fined 10 percent of his annual salary. During the suspension, Williams will not play in any competitions.

Williams purchased and ingested an over-the-counter nutritional supplement containing the banned substance. The substance was purchased from a vitamin store that is part of a national chain.
