Cuban boxing officials have said that three-time Olympic boxing gold medalist Teofilo Stevenson died earlier in June of a heart attack at age 60.

Stevenson, a heavyweight, was known for his devestating right hand, and won gold medals in the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics.

The 6’3 Stevenson was Cuba’s second-known celebrity next to the nation’s president, Fidel Castro.
