Nick Kellogg leads DeSales

Nick Kellogg, son of former OSU and NBA star, Clark Kellogg playing Thursday night at the Convocation Center at Ohio University was only fitting. It’s where he’ll continue his playing career with the Bobcats.

He had a nice game, scoring 21 points in leading Columbus DeSales to a 62-50 win over Logan Elm. The Athens, Ohio crowd was getting a glimpse of what they might be seeing in the next four years.

Kellogg and his teammates will get another chance on Saturday as the Stallions will play Zanesville for the Division II regional championship in The Convo.

DeSales started slowly because of sloppy play and turnovers. Logan Elm took advantage and led 15-11 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, DeSales got themselves under control and went on an 11-0 run to lead 46-35 after 3 quarters and the game was essentially over.

Nick Kellogg also added a perfect 10-for-10 at the free throw line to go with his 21 points.
