The Boston Celtics announced on Sunday that one of their rising stars, Jared Sullinger will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his left foot.

The former Ohio State star, who was selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, the 21st overall pick in 2012, is in his third year on the Boston roster.

Tiger Woods stands 27th after First Round of Memorial Tournament six shots back

DUBLIN, O. — The first round of the Memorial Tournament is in the books and the leader is not Tiger Woods, but he’s only six shots behind the leader.

Woods shot a 1-under 71. He has opened the Memorial with a round at par-or-better in 13 of his 14 years in playing Muirfield Village. The only other time that Woods opened the tournament in this Columbus, Ohio suburb, with a 71 was in 2000 and he won.

The 37-year-old Woods, the defending champion, made five birdies and four bogeys.

Woods is six shots behind first round leader Charl Schwartzel who was brilliant with a 7-under-par 65, one shot ahead of Scott Piercy.

Woods was not pleased with his performance on Thursday. He hit 11 of 14 fairways, including all seven on the back nine, but struggled with other parts of his game. He needed 30 putts after hitting 13 greens in regulation. He even acknowledged that 53-year-old Fred Couples, who plays regularly on the Champions Tour played better than he did.

Couples, who likes playing with Woods, carded a 2-under-par 70 and is tied for 13th.

Buffalo Bills, State of New York, Erie County, agree on new stadium lease until at least 2020

The NFL’s Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement with the State of New York and Erie County on a new lease deal for Ralph Wilson Stadium that will keep the team in the suburb of Orchard Park until at least the year 2020.

The Bills’ current 15-year lease expires on July 31, 2013. Buffalo is located in the United States’ 56th largest TV market and the concerns have been that they might be a target for relocation to Los Angeles or even Toronto.

The $271 million agreement includes $130 million in renovations for the almost 40-year-old stadium which was opened in 1973, has the Bills paying $35 million and New York and Erie County providing the other $95 million.

The lease is for 10 years but the agreement has the Bills staying in Buffalo at least through the first seven years. The team then will have the option of buying out the remaining three years of the lease for $28 million. However, the penalty to leave early is $400 million.

The owner of the Bills is 94-year-old Ralph Wilson, who is the oldest owner in the NFL and the oldest living former player and Pro Football Hall of Fame member. Rumors are swirling that his health is in decline.

Wilson was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 17, 1918.
