There was a time when the Cleveland Cavaliers used to beat up on the Toronto Raptors.

Of course, that was during the LeBron James era.

For the second time in a week, Toronto beat the Cavs. Tuesday night’s score was 99-93. The Cavs third straight loss after winning six in a row.

Leading the way for the Raptors was DeMar DeRozan with 33 points, six assists and four rebounds. Terrence Ross scored 19 points.

The Cavs were led by Kyrie Irving and the recently-acquired Spencer Hawes. Irving finished with 25 points and nine assists. Hawes, making his first start since joining the Cavs in a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers five days ago, collected 15 points and 7 rebounds.

Jamal Crawford, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin led the Clippers to their 43rd win of the season. They lead the NBA’s Pacific Division by 9 games over the surprising Golden State Warriors.

Prior to last night’s game, Los Angeles had not won a game in Cleveland dating back 10 losses in a row to 2002.

Crawford scored 24 points,  Paul dished out 15 assists and  Griffin scored 16 and pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Cavs were led by rookie Dion Waiters with 17 points.
